I truly thought I could live without a cast iron skillet. Until I bought one. And used how to cook with one. My experience prior to leaning to use cast iron, was throwing an egg on the pan, unwarned, probably ungreased and getting pissed off when the egg stuck to the pan ruining my meal. That being said, you can do anything to this pan. It never stains, it never scratches, it's fairly easy to clean, you can cook anything and everything in this pan. You can use this pan on the stove, in the oven or even over an open fire. Then to top it off, the pans come in nearly every color of the rainbow for those of us that have to have a uniform color in their kitchens. I suspect this pan will outlive me.
